Delicate botanicals provide the inspiration for the intaglio etchings by contemporary artist Beth Weintraub. Each image is brushed on a zinc plate through a process called aquatint and then immersed in an acid bath. The ground which was not protected from the acid is then eaten away, developing the imagery with the contrast of the treated and untreated zinc. Six 20"x20" panels mounted on wood.
